swipe at mine.
i wish i could get rid of
all the mistakes i made
and all the things i did
and all the people i hurt.
oh, wait.

i didn't hurt anyone.
that was you.

as much as i tried
to keep it alive inside
of me, i still fell
to tendencies of self-
loathing and self-
hatred and no self-
esteem, esteemed are
the colleagues who tell
you to hang in there
because you'll prevail, but
is it really
helping? no.
do you think i regret
all the things i've done?
yes.
but do i regret
you? no.
you're the reason
my eyes are open, i had
a hazy view of the world
and once i got all
the tears out i could
see clearly, if it weren't
for you i'd still be
on that same ol' track
of falling for terrible
people i know will
destroy me.
